your grief turned us winter
there's no where for us to turn
so why not just let it all churn, and burn
ride on, on our motorcycles of the mountain road
endlessly revving our engines, squashing toads
on the highway
with the red dawn to our backs
people people everywhere
people staring here and there
where do you lie?
when will you die?
walking talking to and fro
people in places down below
take it slow
feel the glow

drinking air,
my mind, blank
pattering along the trail
up and down the hills
feel the pain in my lungs
leave it alone
head tottering
wasting energy
by the kilowatt
